Hi and welcome to my site,

Photography has always played a big part of my life however, it didn't really take hold of my life until 2011.  In that year, my career changed after 30 years in Hospitality Management.  I loved that work however, after walking the Camino de Santiago (780 klms from St. Jean de Pied Port in France to Santiago de Compostella in Spain), I decided I needed a change to find my creative self.

After relocating from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast, I enrolled and completed a Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging at Sunshine Coast TAFE. This one year full time course provided a full understanding of the technical aspects and lighting requirements of photography. I am a great believer in the need to understand the basics and fundamentals of your craft.

My passion is Aerial and Architectural Photography.

My approach to image making is considerate with a view to create a story, connecting the viewer to the scene, to feel what I'm feeling.  I enjoy the challenge of finding the right composition and light for every scene.  From a service perspective, my aim is to exceed client expectations. Understanding the brief and client wishes are my first priority followed by working in with time and access demands.

I am a past Accredited Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) and I still use that code of ethics to achieve and maintain the highest standards.  Unfortunately the AIPP closed after 75 years during the COVID pandemic.  For information about contract terms and conditions please click the following ;

I am fortunate to have received a number of International and National Awards for my images and have been featured in many publications including Habitus Living, Gympie Today, Good Living Australia, Noosa Today, ArchitectureAU, Noosa News, Australian Photography Magazine, Make Magazine, Profile Magazine and the AIPP Journal.

I am a Canson Certified Master Printer and hold certifications for Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag, Canson Infinity Aquarelle Rag, Canson Etching Edition, Canson Baryta Photographique II Matt and Canson Canvas Museum Procanvas WR Matt plus Canson Photoart Procanvas WR Lustre.  I also hold a range of Epson Professional PapersAll Canson Papers have ICC profiles provided by Dr Les Walkling

Artist Statement

Visual Art - Photography

My two passions are Aerial Landscapes and Architecture.

In my Aerial work I am drawn to nature's natural order, it's vibrant colours, beauty and mystery.  For me, viewing mother earth from 4,000 ft is pure delight, the landscape appears timeless, it's shapes and patterns unimaginable from a ground perspective.

My Architectural/Urban work is about lines, patterns, shapes and colours.  To find order in complexity, to see angles that makes sense and a perspective that works.  Harmony in a simple form.

My art is abstract in nature, yet I am drawn to simplicity of shapes often in a minimalist form. My hope is my aerial abstracts can allow the viewer to gain a greater appreciation of Nature's beauty possibly not seen or experienced before.

I use helicopters and fixed wing aircraft for my aerial work. All excursions are carefully planned through the use of google earth.  This planning allows me to determine the area of interest, height, time of day, angle of the sun plus the preferred light and shadow requirements.
